Meet the Makers: Celebrating Women Artisans & Their Stories

Martina Geroni – Italian Ceramic Artist
With the eye of an architect and the hands of a maker, Martina Geroni creates ceramics where form and function meet in perfect balance. Her work blends techniques like Kurinuki carving with a modern, design-led approach, resulting in pieces that are minimal, precise, and timeless. Inspired by Italian heritage and guided by a deep respect for natural materials, each creation is both an object of daily use and a work of art.

Su Trobasciu – Sardinian Women’s Weaving Cooperative
Su Trobasciu (“the loom”) is a circle of seven women keeping alive Sardinia’s rich tapestry traditions. Founded in 1978, this all-female cooperative preserves ancestral techniques like a bagas and pibiones, transforming them into symbolic arazzi, rugs, pillows, and home pieces that speak of heritage, creativity, and feminine strength.
Each creation is more than craft — it’s a story woven by women, for those who value connection, culture, and the art of making.

Francesca – Helysol | Sardinian Botanical Skincare
On her grandmother’s land in Northern Sardinia (Italy), Francesca transforms helichrysum, hypericum, and rosa damascena into natural, cruelty-free skincare. Handcrafted in an all-female lab, Helysol blends ancestral remedies with modern care — a tribute to slow beauty and the island’s healing botanicals.
