Beautiful scallop shell dish created using the ancient art of decoupage which is an art form derived from the French word “decouper” meaning to cut.
The scallop shell is approx. 4”x4”. Each dish is handcrafted and will have slight variations of design placement and some natural markings. The underside (back) of shell is left natural. The edge of dish is rimmed with gold leaf paint.
This lovely dish can hold rings at sink or bedside, decorative show soaps, wrapped candies, paper clips, tea light and makes a thoughtful gift or home accent piece. Not only for the coastal home or coastal decor. With the variety of images to chose from there will surely be something for most everyone.
The process used includes multiple layers of sealant however the dish is not food safe and cannot be submerged… to clean wipe with a damp cloth.
