Totally handcrafted using maple wood, Pyrography, iridescent acrylics, peace and love.
This beautiful Hamsa ornament is made from a slice of Maple wood, (approximately 2.75”) known for bringing wisdom, balance, healing and love.
The Hamsa symbol is burned by hand using the ancient art of Pyrography, before being painted by hand using lustrous iridescent acrylics.
The Hamsa hand is know throughout a variety of religions and cultures, having many names: The Hand of Venus, The Hand of Aphrodite, Hand of the All Goddess, Hand of Mary. It is associated with the Goddess Ishtar, Isis, Osiris and Horus, along with protective spirits and Apotropaic Magic.
The back of the ornament is blank, awaiting your own personal message, name(s), prayer, blessing, mantra…. Just pop me a message with what you’d like me to add.
To hang your ornament, there is ribbon (your choice of color along with an olive wood bead - perfect for adding a drop or two of your favorite essential oil. Olive wood is a symbol of peace, wisdom, fertility and success - it is one of the oldest symbols in the world.
Hanging from the bottom of your ornament, there is a lapis lazuli bead and a Hamsa metal charm. Lapis is known to represent spirituality and friendship- it brings harmony, love and protection.
