Story Behind the Drawing On a misty morning in June, I looked out the window to see a peahen eating fallen seed from the ground. Rather than continue her journey to wherever peahens congregate in Georgia, Penelope (as I was quick to name her), walked around the house for the rest of the day, weaving through brush and leaves. Worried that she might need more nourishment, I procured a bowl of the finest blueberries, which she happily pecked out of the bowl in less than one minute. At the end of the day, Penelope disappeared just as mysteriously as she had arrived.
