A personalized leather bookmark, totally handcrafted from USA sourced leather; vegetable tanned without the use of harsh chemicals.
Each piece of leather is cut by hand to approximately 5”x1.5” (this can be adjusted to suit)
The design is first sketched onto your bookmark before being burned by hand using the art of pyrography; quite literally writing with fire - where a heated metal tool is used to burn your design permanently into the piece of leather.
You may have a name added to the space at the top of your bookmark for no additional cost - just let me know.
The edges of the leather are finished by being burnished by hand to smooth the fibers for a neater look. Your bookmark will be conditioned and sealed.
A piece of suede cord is looped through the end of the bookmark and is finished with the option of decorative wooden beads or simply knotted. Please make your selection from the drop down menu and I'll message with you with suede color options.
Your bookmark will come to you in a handmade wired burlap case with your choice of colored ribbon.

The back of the leather is ‘raw’ and unfinished for a more natural appearance. As with all leather products, prolonged exposure to excessive heat or moisture is best avoided.
